About Ólöf Melkorka

I am a general, non-denominational spiritual counsellor, specialized in grief counseling for mothers of extremely premature babies, with as a consequence a handicap, terminal disease and the death of the child, and I have a specialization in loss experiences of people with a trauma from domestic violence.

Master Theology & Religious Studies

After losing three children and several family members, I know how big sorrow, loneliness and pain can be.

In 2009 I began to study Theology at the University of Iceland and I came to the Netherlands in 2011 to finish my bachelor. My Master MA Theology & Religious Studies I finished at the VU in Amsterdam with an ethno-autobiographic paper based on my own life and the life of Selma Rún, my deceased daughter and Laufey Ósk who died soon after birth.
