Hola all.

Any recommendations for a decent Car Insurance Company?

We have been with Linea Directa for many years now, never made a claim, but this year they have increased it by 25€,and we aren't falling for it any more?

Gracias Todos.

I’ve used Linea Directe for 5 years now.Never had to claim but my 2025 price had gone up 35 Euro.Phoned them asked for an explanation which amounted to nothing much and got it reduced to 2024 price.Happy enough with that.

I have also used them and found them ok but if you challenge them on a price increase you can normally get a discount, they want to keep you.

As above and insurers have paid out a lot of money this year due to floods and the cost of mechanics and parts are going up. Get in touch with them and tell them you are leaving and see how low they will go.

Gracias.

We have thought about that,Gracias.

Seems quite wrong when you have never made a claim in 11 years?

Ours up 25€,plus we had no,excess, now they have added €200 excess?

I understand where you are coming from but having worked in insurance, not having made a claim will have no effect on the general price of insurance (no NCB like in UK) but there could be a flood and your car written off and they will be paying for a replacement or you could have an accident which is your fault and someone is injured so badly they can never work again, your insurance will pay out many, many times more than you have paid in. Just a couple of examples of what the insurer has to underwrite for.

It could be much worse.

My insurance in the UK has more than doubled in 3 years.

3 series BMW, age 63, clean license and full no claims.

Just under £1000!
