We have a hire car that should be returned on the 27th March when we hope to fly back to the UK but I have read that only one person can travel in a car during the Corona virus lockdown, can both my wife and I travel in the car to get to the airport as this should be classed as traveling home, I know the Police are really strict here and don't want to fall foul of them?

Bigger problem. Will there be flights on the 27th March.
If it was me I would be booking the first available flight out as there is no way of knowing when flights might stop. Airlines are doing repatriation flights but laying off staff and parking up the planes.
I would also be self-isolating when I got back.
I totally agree in such getting a flight back to the UK if you need to.
All a bit of a pain but essential measures to battle this virus..........another one from China.
