90 day rule
Hi all
with regards to the 90 day rule. During the 90 day stay in Spain, if I go back to UK for a week during this stay, will my 90 days be affected ? Will this affect my end date of the 90 days stay ?
cheers

There is no actual 90 day stay in Spain. It's 90 days in any 180 days and is a rolling figure. Use one of the many Schengen calendars to work out your dates and only the dates in the EU count. The rolling figure means that if you leave the area then the 180 days moves on as well.

Try this EU calculator, just enter your dates and it tells you how many days left etc.

This rule has caused so much confusion for so many. If you have done as Marcliff suggested, hopefully it is now clearer for you but a couple of things you might want to consider are;
You don't have to spend the full 90 days in Spain in one block (or any other Schengen country as all trips count towards the 90). You can break it up into many trips to Spain or different Schengen zone countries as long as within ANY 180 day period, you haven't spent more than 90 days in Schengen.
It is not a good idea to use the full 90 days. Someone could be sick, have an accident or you might need to visit your holiday home unexpectedly to arrange urgent repairs or adverse weather could mean your flight home is cancelled.
