Hi Folks, really struggling with the forecasting of the 90/180 day rule.

This is the prediction I get from https://www.visa-calculator.com/

Enter 14/05/22 Exit 17/06/22

Enter 05/07/22 Exit 11/08/22

OK. You can stay for 18 days more, until 29-08-2022.

If you re-enter the Schengen area on 23-10-2022, you can stay 53 days until 14-12-2022.

If you re-enter the Schengen area on 10-11-2022, you can stay 90 days until 07-02-2023.

Please dont try to educate me just tell me the prediction is correct or not.

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn’t dream of trying to educate, but some calculators are a lot simpler to work with than others

This is the one I use - find it helpful for our pattern of travel, which is mainly short and frequent trips - try it and see if you still have a query

Apologies re educating me, what I meant was that my brain is not absorbent enough to fathom out this complicated rule.

Anyhow thanks for your reply, I am now confident that we can now re-enter on the 23 of October as planned but up to now can only stay until the 1 of November? I think this will move forward as I recalculate nearer the date.

Remove  the line you’ve written about staying 18 days in August as that has been and gone and as you didn’t enter Schengen it’s now totally irrelevant.

So if you get into your head you can stay 90 out of the last 180 days and it’s a rolling period, which is what you’ve said at the end of your post.

So yes you are correct in your thinking.

Lynn
