Hi pleased to have joined looking for advice. Partner and I are considering a move to Spain. I know Torrievieja and surrounding areas quite well. Dads cousin had a property development company for many years at Villa Martin and we holidayed around there a lot . Wondered how easy it was to find work in area and how long can we stay after Brexit . Can it be permanent ?

I have worked in telesales both at home and in call centres for many years and am also a fully qualified beautician and massage therapist too. Hope someone can help by giving me some advice . Many thanks x

To be honest, job prospects are dire.

Post-Brexit it looks like visits will be limited to 90 days in any 180 day period.

For a stay longer than 90 days, a visa will be required, which will include stringent proof of sufficient income plus private health insurance.

Thanks for the reply that’s very helpful. Partner would be looking to retire not work in Spain. We have savings so could probably support ourselves. Not good news re proof of income etc if we want to retire . Maybe having savings would count instead? Thanks anyway

Hi

Work here is hard to find. Also no one knows what will happen after Brexit.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do
