Found out today that if oneself can’t have a criminal certificate from the past 5 years ones can’t get the “residencia”.  My question is

How to get a criminal certificate if you had spent the last few years working in saui Arabia??? Any suggestions is welcome

Thanks John123456  for the info. Situation: we have left KSA in February and only decided to apply for The Residencia in the end of April!!! Is there any hope?

Are you a UK citizen and have you  remained UK resident during your time away?

If so then I see no reason why you should not apply for your police clearance in UK.

I note since you messaged someone has suggested to obtain a record from UK authorities only. I would imagine if there are any gaps in your record the Spanish authorities may question this. I don't know whether or not you have experoenced Spanish bureaucracy, they don't take any prisoners and if I were you and don't want to spoil your chances of being refused a visa, I would do the right thing. The attached link gives good advice and there is also information about what to do if you cannot get the appropriate clearance from a country you have lived in previously.
