Many thanks

Hi Anita,

My partner Caroline and I moved over permanently 11 months ago and have absolutely no regrets, the lifestyle, people, culture and weather is everything we could have hoped for.

If you have any questions or issues I’m sure you’ll find everyone on the forum helpful.

Rob.

If you have Facebook look up the group “Ladies of Spain”.  They have a very active social event calendar in Torreviega area including coffee, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners.  Great way to meet local ladies.
Torrevieja U3A runs many different interest groups and there is also the Phoenix club for singles.  So lots of opportunities to meet people .

Hi Anita

It's a great place to move to, especially if you are looking for a slower pace away from the hustle and bustle of city life ( although Torrevieja and surrounding area is very lively in the summer months). One point, is that the work situation in Spain is not great in general and if you're planning to look for employment it may be more difficult than you anticipate. However, that may not be an issue for you?

All the best

Will

No problem

The main issue for you will be deciding where you want to stay. Do you want the quieter feel of the urbanizations or the town centre activity? Also, are you wanting to be with Spaniards and learn the language and culture or mixed with ex pat communities? Do you want the beach or would you prefer the countryside?

All of these will impact on your choices and there are many locations which will allow you to do both. There are also many posts on here with good advice on where to live, what to avoid etc, so have a browse around the forum and then come back and ask for any misisng info you think will help inform your decision.

Hi Wilbur

Thank you for your response I appreciate this, I am thinking punta prima, I would like to be close to the beach but that I expect to be pricey, a mixture of Spanish and ex pats, everything in walking distance good night life and a gym, I do speak Spanish although not fluently

Thank you any advice you can give me a good

Regards

Anita
