What is the situation regarding returning to the UK for Uk pensioners with an EU partner (Married) We lived in the UK for 4 years in the 80s and she was given an indefinite permission to live in the UK. Only I get a small pension and she is dependant on me, we both have S1s issued by the UK. I have seen a lot of cases of people going to the Uk with non UK partners but they have all been of working age or employed etc.

Anyone have any useful info?

Or contact Citizens Advice Bureau. Your case looks a bit different to a first time application so maybe your wife's UK permission is still live. Good luck with it.

Spent an hour and a half on the gov.uk site but wasn't really much the wiser. It appears from after reading what I did find that after  2 years outside of the UK it is back to square one. Her card issued in 1980 which says she has a lifetime right to reside in the UK is never mentioned.

I will check out what you posted.

Thanks

Mike
