Hi- wonder if some kind person could please confirm the fireworks in Torrevieja this year will be midnight or so Friday 23rd June, please.

Elsewhere there are allusions to 24th- don't think that's right......

Many thanks in advance- apologies for my confusion.  Alan

You'll find the program here:

I'm am not sure all permissions are in box already, but normally the fireworks are shortly before midnight on the 23rd.

You’re right  it is confusing - from the details on Torrevieja.com it’s the 23rd June, but some places have them on the 24th June

Alicante for instance have a huge parade on the 23rd but they have bonfires on the beach followed by a firework display from the castle at midnight on the 24th, this is followed by the burning of the figures at around 00.15 which by then is 25th. Note If you are planning on visiting Alicante  on the eve of 24th it is absolutely manic  it’s like being squashed in a football ground and once the burning of the figures start you can't breathe or see through the smoke.  All I can say is  - it’s an experience!

Guardamar last year had their parade on the 24th, but if I remember rightly cancelled the bonfires on the beach on 23rd. I think it was down to still being short staffed through Covid and not having the man force to clear the beaches from the 200+ bonfires the following day.

So the fiesta is spread out over 2 days  with different timetables,

Lynn

You're  right. During Covid beach access was restricted in Torrevieja 🙂  Lots of things we normally do on given dates was cancelled by authorities in that period.

The Alicante experience seems interesting, and is easy accessible from Torrevieja by bus. Thank you for telling. 😊
