Hello' to everyone. I'm moving in Torrevieja at the end of February from Bruxelles. I'm chess passionated and I would like to find someone there who loves too playing chess. I've been two times before in " heladeria Capablanca " in avenida Ramire Pastor, that was the old chess club of Torrevieja, and last time, some days ago in calle de policarpo n. 12. where should be the actual chess club of Torrevieja. Unfortunately I never found it open. If someone knows the opening times of the club please tell me, I also really appreciate if someone interested in the game would contact me to play sometimes. I thank you all for the attention.

Hello. Try Facebook - ajedrez en torrevieja. They should be able to give you opening times etc.

People in Spain usually get back to you but can take a while. Whilst waiting the website www.ajedrezvalenciano.com will give you an idea of what is going on within the Comunidad Valenciana chess scene. Dominated by the local league at the moment (runs from Jan to Mar).

Also Federacion de Ajedrez de la Comunidad Valenciana has more information.

ok, thank you very much for the information; I've also found an old post on a forum where was said about an european chess club in San Luis that meets on fridays. If it is still active will be the best for me, because I will live close to it.

Hi Tom, thank you, I already know about it and I'm going. I'm also making a new one through the site " meet up". If you want participate we go this evening at ohana bar in Torrevieja at 20:00 hours.
