New to Torreveija, looking for like minded friends

My husband and I are wondering if there are any other Kiwis or Aussies from 'Downunder' living in the region near Torrevieja. It seems like we're a rare breed... but I am sure there will be a few of you somewhere scattered around the area. :)
We arrive mid August (very excited!) and it would be great to meet up with new people of all nationalities. People who are friendly, outgoing, great sense of humour, adventurous and like minded. I also want to improve my Spanish which is possibly late Beginner level.
I am more of a social butterfly than my husband and very young at heart, so I would also be very interested in meeting women to hang out with... to go walking, cycling or just hang out together for a chat and a drink or a swim at the beach. I seem to enjoy mixing with all different age groups, so anyone from ages 35 to 65 would be great. I enjoy being active and I'm hoping to take up some new sports in my new life in Torreveija as is my husband.
