Hello

There is only one bus that goes through La Siesta....Line G, it is currently €1.55 per person, one way but that is likely to change at the end of the year. The time to Torrevieja will vary according to how busy it is but approx 25/30mins.

Without a car you would have to take the bus to  town centre & then walk another 10/15mins to  the beaches.

Cheers

Hi Pat & Niamh,

Welcome to the area,

Bus G goes into Torrevieja center it takes about 35 muintes, € 1.50 or you can buy a bus card form the driver or at Torrevieja bus station for € 2.00 and put € 20.00 credit on it and will get discount bus fares with this card, and saved having to have cash, it's like our Irish leap card.

If you become residents after 6 months you will be entitled to free bus card which is € 7.00 per year.

Good luck with your new home.

Brian.

I live in La Siesta and it takes me 40 minutes to walk to La Mata beach through the natural park. It is a very pleasant walk and you can stop halfway in the picnic area by the lake for a rest! Torrevieja beaches are all close to the bus stops where the G stops . La Siesta is a lovely area I hope you will be very happy there
