No you can't take a small suitcase and   Handbag I just came over   On the 7november   I had to pay £50 pounds because I couldn't get my bag in  the case there getting as bad as Ryan air in future  I will be traveling with jet 2 i

I have just booked with Jet2 as well, only wonder how long it will be before they too jump on the bandwagon of easy moneymaking....

Last time I flew Easy and that was quite a while ago as I stopped using them since,I had only a small cabin case, much smaller than allowed dimensions, plus a little belt pouch for passport, wallet and phone, literally no more than 15 x 10 x 5cm if that and belted to my body. Employee at boarding gate wasn't having it.... IT MUST (the tone made Gestapo came to mind) go into the trolley! I made him notice that it wasn't a separate piece of luggage but a pouch on my belt... no way to reason... so a quick 5 seconds to slide it into trolley, go past SS checkpoint and as soon as over the door get it out again and back on my belt... end of... By the way am quite slim (scale disagrees though), could have been double the weight and that would have been perfectly acceptable... my conclusion is that some folks at boarding gates must be seriously re trained or company policies reviewed.  The only definition that springs to my mind is ...I won't say it but the word begins by M and ends in ..orons.

Could write at great length over Ryan and Flybe too but won't bother you... I so much miss the 80's all inclusive straight forward fares, more expensive? Not so sure in many cases!

Ryan only allow 2 bags if you buy their ridiculously expensive seats and priority boarding.... see below and do the maths, which may be a hazardous task as 2+2 may equal 7 when Ryanair is concerned....

Non-priority customers can only bring one small bag (40cm x 20cm x 25cm), that must fit into the sizer. If non-priority customers want to bring a second bigger bag, they can purchase a lower cost 10kg check-in bag for at time of booking online. It must be checked-in at the airport ba...

...g drop desk, prior to reaching airport security.

If you are a non-priority customer and have not already added a 10kg bag to your booking, but would like to, you can purchase one at the airport bag drop desk for a higher price.

Priority or not, you pay a small fee to take a 10 kg bag on board or leave it at the baggage drop, you don't have to book a seat. It's also cheaper to book priority.

Not really, I always look at the final price that will get debited to my credit card and am afraid but I have to disagree with your statement.

Sorry, but I don't understand your statement.

If you only take a small bag that fits under the seat in front, you only pay for your ticket. If you want a 10 kg bag as well, you have to pay for it. The price varies slightly, depending on the time of year, where you are travelling from and which country you are travelling to. Either way, you do not have to pay for a seat, unless you choose to. Try booking a seat on Norwegian, and you will discover what ridiculously expensive means.

You seem to disregard or not understand the fact that all other airlines allow for a free cabin luggage up to 10 kg, not a little piece that fits under the seat in front of you and you pay if it's bigger or you need to buy additional perks in order to be allowed it... that is what makes the difference!

Practical example: booked flight on Jet2 STN-ALC and return with just a 10 kg cabin luggage and guaranteed space in overhead lockers, total cost £77.00... same price with Ryanair on like for like conditions and dates £ 146... should be easy to do the maths?

Only if you pay speedy boarding
