Hi Seanie

Wow, all doom and gloom at yours. I think everyone is aware of what’s happening and the risks. By now people know what a metre is, and they also are fully aware of what’s happening. I also don’t think they need you to tell them that the virus is here to stay, at least for now.

It’s really not needed for you or anyone else to suggest that people are confused or that they don’t know what’s happening. These are intelligent people, treat them as such 🤪🥂

I agree. We say, just get on with life, and shop being so scared.Everyone now has the cleanest hands ever. Masks will stop us getting several diseases and infections. Our opinion is locking down did no good at all,so what's the point of another for history to repeat itself again when restrictions lifted? Enjoy life to the best of our ability, and lighten up some folk!!!

I had a one way flight booked for 4 November and have just had an email saying it is cancelled.  On checking the website there is nothing available until Feb 21.  This is a bit of a shock to be honest, although the way things are going here in the UK it seems as though the government is...

... hell-bent on a total lockdown course (again).  I was planning to stay there for two or three months but that is out of the window now, unless.......

.......I then checked the Ryanair site and they still have flights going to ALC.   What on earth is going on?  I was tempted for a minute to jump in and book but then hesitated.  What if their flights go the same way in the next few days, and then Ryanair don't send me a refund for at least half a year, or more?  At least Jet2 are good at refunding fairly quickly.

It's a bad situation again, no doubt about that, and you could argue the "essential travel only" point.  We are seriously considering cutting our losses on this whole Spanish project and putting the house up for sale.  I know it could take a long time to shift it but whatever happens might be better than this ridiculous situation we are all in now.  Those of you who are there are fine - those like me who only go now and then.....well, what's the point any more?

Tried so hard to persuade my husband to quit this country and live in Spain. Life is so nasty here, covid ignores, Brexit nastiness and a terrible government. Move.

hi, reminds me of the man who wanted to get away from it all, and moved to a small town, after awhile he asked somebody what were the people  like and he was told  the  same as where you have come from, the uk in my mind is without doubt the greatest multicultural country in the world, yes it does look greener on the other side, till you get there. seanie
