Just  let  people be  aware   that  Ryanair  allows you  to  change  your  flight,   handy I said to myself  as was suppose  to fly to Punta Prima  for  10 days,   but with  rising  numbers  of Covid  and a few   Health issues,  I  decided  to  Rearrange  my  Flight, But  it  incurred   a  45e  each  way charge, so  total  cost to  change   90 e,

So  people  out  there  who are  unsure  of travel  dates  and Big Ryanair 🤔   sale  be  aware

That’s always been the way.

In most cases it’s cheaper not to travel and book brand new flights.

I'm sorry you've been caught out but it's always been so I doubt it will come as news or a surprise to many.

As said if you want or need to change a booking it's essential to first check the price of a completely new flight as it could well turn out the cheaper option.

At peak times when flights are most expensive you may be able to sell an  unwanted ticket with a buyer bearing the cost of any changes.

Also unless you buy an open ticket (usually £££ and generally not possible with low cost carriers) most if not all airlines will make a charge of some sort for changing a booking so it's not really fair to single out "Big Ryanair" for it.

This is normal practice for Ryan Air.

People always think that that are getting a bargain, but the reality is far from that.

Ryan air are a very hard money making

Company, who probably almost single handed brought down the cost of flights, but

with that any quality of service that went with it. Those days long gone.

It’s all in the small print of the terms and conditions, when we all book our tickets.

Lots of airlines are going to stop luggage inside tbe cabin, not sure if Ryan air are doing that, but it’s another way of charging

extra money!!!!

You  are  100%  Correct   in  what  you  wrote but  as  I  said   Education  is  expensive,  you  live and learn,   I  will  still  use Ryanair  not much  choice  when flying  out of  Dublin

No I suppose not. Ryanair certainly captured a market from their early days of one or two planes. I knew a pilot that worked for them and he had a very bad experience on how they treat the staff also.

Although budget airlines fundamentally are a good thing, the customer service is poor and all they are interested in are bums on seats. Unfortunately even some of the big

Carriers now are struggling for business and their own offerings of budget is equally as bad. The Covid thing has only made it all

worse, they are scratching around for the business, but they all need to step up to the plate and offer a better service. I think EasyJet do free transfers of flights, but Ryan air always seem to be after every last euro they can get. One time they wanted to remove one set of toilets on their planes to put more seats in. The civil aviation authority said no.

It has got all a bit silly.

In fairness to Ryanair other budget airlines are also racing them to the bottom.

Easyjet now charge for carry on luggage and only allow a small bag on board (similar to Ryanair). Although you can pay for premium seats and take 2 bags on board ( similar to Ryanair's "Priority" package). This is all to appear as the lowest base cost flight on comparison sites such as Skyscanner.

Nothing wrong with Ryanair but I'm happy to pay a few pounds more (or sometimes less) to fly with Easyjet, as they offer better onboard service, nicer food etc and are more customer focused.

......They also still offer the free change your flight policy.

Unbelievable comments. Fist of all I am not a Michael O'Leary fan in particular. But when we fly from Schipol to Alicante we are very often paying 15 euros for a flight. Our neighbours are paying the same from London Stansted to Alicante. I have to put more than 15 euros of gasoline into my car just to get from my apartment in Rotterdam to Schipol Airport Approx 45 kilometres. Please tell me of something in this world that is better value than flying from England or Netherlands to Southern Spain for 15 euros.!!!!

Not unbelievable comments, they're perfectly true..... Yes you can get £10 flights from the UK to Alicante but when you add on the price of a seat (hate the middle) and the cost of taking a decent cabin bag, you've added more than twice the base cost and there's not much difference with other carriers

Yes indeed. Very true, but it’s not about the price, although important, it’s about the Ryan air offer, it is just not what it seems and if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

As the airlines are now all trying to get more  business with fewer customers there will still

bargains, but we all get what we pay for and that’s what we have to accept to a certain degree.
