Was just looking at prices this morning for our friends. Ryanair, Newcastle - Alicante, 15-25 February £79 return.

Have you tried adifferent airport? Try cheap flights or Skyscanner

A lot of airlines charge for hold luggage, not just Ryanair. This is not new but they have actually reduced the charge recently. With Ryanair make sure you have read their latest info on hand luggage - one case, (reasonalble size though) can be carried on, however they will put it in the hold for free unless you pay for priority boarding!

Check out Skyscanner first before booking. I always look for alternative airports and alternative days to fly during the week tends to be cheaper.

At Alicante you can have priority boarding and 2 pcs. handbaggage on Rynair for free if you are handicapped (a pacemaker will do). As soon you enter Terminal 3 you are put in a whelchair and enjoy VIP fast lane at Security and brought with all you handbaggege right to the airplane door (no stairs to climb) before the rest of the mob has even left the boarding gate. Great, friendly, and relible service.
