Hi Mary, we used to have one that went rampant, until it got attacked by some sort of virus. I'm no expert on growing things you can't eat, but I think if you leave them as they are until next spring, they should be OK. Keep the potting compost moist rather than letting it dry out completely. When the weather starts to warm up, use a liquid fertiliser that's rich in potassium, but use restraint on the amount you give them.

I think so, Mary. Ours grew very little, if at all, in colder weather. In warm and then hot weather, it seemed slow to start and then really took off. Good luck with yours.

Mary,  Stephanotis from seed, I’d love to try that.   Did you buy seeds in Spain?

I’m sure the plants will take off in the warmer weather.  Good luck

Lovely photo Jim.   Is there any chance of a Gardening in Spain guide?  😂😂😂

It would sure beat all the heated political posts!!!

Nice idea, Maria, but someone else will have to do it. I've always gone along with Margaret wanting flowers and shrubs, but being a naff male I prefer myself to only grow what can be eaten. That was OK in the UK, where I had a garden with eleven different soft fruits plus rhubarb. I've tried to grow some of them here, but failed miserably every time.

Actually I bought my friend a plant for her birthday which she planted in her garden ( Torrevieja) and after 2 years it produced a pod bit like an avocado once it was ripe i took it to England where I split it  and it was full of feathery seeds ( like dandelion) so I planted a few and they seem to be doing well just resting until the spring🤞🤞
