Hi i bought a house last year and want to put in new bathroom upstairs and shower and toilet down stairs.

Could anyone recommend what type of hotwater system. At the minute the water is heatened by a bottle of gas.  And when we had company the water didnt seem to heat fast enough cold showers😥.

What is best.ELECTRIC OR GAS.

I was told the old gas way was cheaper.

ANYONE RECOMMEND SOMEONE THAT CAN DO COMPLETE WORKS ON BATHROOM

.NEEDSOMEONE RELIABLE AS I WILL BE IN IRELAND WHEN WORK BEING DONE.

Also best heaters for house winter . My house is 19 years old and same system is there .any idea appreciated

We have an entirely electric house. The HW is supplied by a Heat Pump which is extremely efficient. We have piped under floor heating downstairs which runs from a separate heat exchanger. All our cooking is electric.

The cost for everything other than heating, per month, varies around 70 or 80 euros. When very cold and we run the heating sometimes, yes, it does whack the cost up, but then we don’t have the hassle of messing around with gas bottles, or huge gas tank installations. I personally would be reluctant to return to gas, having had it for everything in U.K.
