asking price

due to sign by power of attorney mondayfor are appartment. the asking price was £48000. I just received a message from the estate against saying that we could save €600 by saying on paper that the asking price is £42000 why is this. I remember reading something months back about having to pay more tax at a later date for some reason. 

anybody got any advise on this I have emailed lawyer but will be Monday b4 thay get back to me at this stage

They are suggesting you break the law. Tax evasion.

This is an under the table Tax dodge that will come back to bit you as you will receive ( in perhaps two years time ) a Complimentary Tax Bill plus penalties, avoid as it is highly illegal and something that many thought had been done away with but there are still some unscrupulous operators carrying out the practice.

yes not something I want to be involved in. wouldn't be great start of owning a property in spain.

If your shady lawyer has been stupid enough to put that 'offer' in an email then he's put his neck in a noose which you could hang him with.

Personally I'd ditch him, I certainly wouldn't entrust him with a PoA.
