Hi we are visiting Torrevieja shortly with a view to buying a holiday home there some time in the next 12 months.

We have visited before and were not keen on Cabo Roig and the surrounding area, looking for somewhere a bit more traditional in feel with more of a mixture of Spanish residents and ex pats with some proper Spanish bars and restaurants, ideally not too far from the Marina.

Could anyone suggest any good areas to look and we will try and rent an apartment in that area.

Many thanks,

Heather

Hi Nicolaon "Eng

Thanks for the reply, I have looked at a few of those areas but tbh our budget is probably pushing us towards Torrevieja for a cheeky offer, plus we do need to be close to either Murcia or Alicante airport. If we were looking at Torrevieja itself and close-ish to the marina where would you advise?

I will check out your website thank you.

Kind regards,

Heather

Hi Heather,

There are lots of properties for sale in central Torrevieja. It’s a good place to be as it’s simply a Spanish city and not an urbanisation full of expats. (Nothing wrong with the latter if that’s what you want).  We find it really convenient.

Hi Heather

We rented for a month last year on the corner of las Lomas and Goleta, and loved it, it's within walking distance of everything. The only time we used our car was to drive down to Zenia Boulevard.

We set ourselves the task of finding a long term rental this year on the seaward side of Diego Ramirez, but we were unlucky. We've ended up by Acequion beach, only been here a week so far, but liking it, nice Spanish bars etc nearby, but it looks as if the majority of properties here are holiday properties, so ask us again at the end of the summer!  We walked this morning right to the other end of town and back, or at least, my better half walked, I ride a mobility scooter, so still in walking distance. We haven't tried going to market from here yet, they moved it out from the town. Good luck in your search

Hi thank you so much for your message, we are just looking to come out for a look in next couple of weeks, as you say so different in many places between holiday times and off season! Hope all goes well for you! Kind regards Heather x
