Minor and Major Works

Hi, I have just been in touch with a local architect regarding a few jobs I want to do on my house in toretta. Torrevieja.
It included enlarging a window, increasing the roof terrace area and enlarging the shed by 3sqm. He has said that I can only do the window here. I know he has got planning permission for quite major works in the last 6 months, so I wondered what has changed in the regs at the town hall recently. Does anyone know?
