Can anyone recommend a really good professional rental agent who deals with both long and short term rental in La Mata.

Good morning to you...There are MANY 'rental' agencies in YOUR area...'On-Line'...
Try IDEALISTA/HOMES IN SPAIN etc etc, there are LOADS of 'em, key in 'property to rent in La Mata area'.
Bring one up, and search: ALQUILER for the area you wish to live.
Please keep in mind, that normally, it is one month deposit, one month rent in advance, AND one month 'agent's commission charge...
Please be careful, there are a lot of 'cowboys'...

I would recommend Rent2Go located in Local 4, C/C Torremarina A1, Calle Diana, Torrevieja.
