Hello Blayney25. I am sorry you are so dis-heartened at the moment. Life is like reading a book, some chapters are good, some not so good. This is the process of going through life in general I am afraid. One has to turn the page on the not so good chapter in life and move forward. I would think most of us including myself have had not so good chapters at time's in life, I certainly have and am still going through not so good times. You must remember no matter how fed up you may be at the moment there is always someone in a far worse position than yourself in life. If we all kept moving around when we are fed up we would eventually run "out of space". Yes people that do certain things in life are proper scumbags not thinking one has to work in life to buy items. I do not understand why people in life that harm woman or children or worse take a life then are taken to prison for a short period of time, released to mostly commit another crime. They are fed, watered, tv, have a warm roof over there heads etc still have a life of some sorts. This is where society in one respect has failed being too soft. Hang the bloody lot of them. I would gladly pull the rope. To reiterate do not be disheartened, why move, even if you did the world in areas all over have these scumbags. Stand firm where you are. I am sure if you put your mind to it a trap could be set to catch the person or people involved. Lumsdon's Auction House at times have decent bikes. Go online or call at the Business address and pick a bike, give me the auction number I will buy it for you. I will see to it the bike is delivered to your home address. Go and have a lager and chill. Life is far to short. My Regards, R.

Hello Blayney25

Unfortunate but not unusal I'm afraid.

Hope you find somewhere to live where there are no bike thefts or perhaps find a method of security that can outwit bike thieves!!....Good Luck with both

Cheers

Sorry to hear that.

If you do move away, please consider that bike theft is not a monopoly to Torrevieja.

Bike theft is Universal.

Hello your comment made me laugh but in a nice way.  7,000 euros spent on a bike recently.  I paid £8,000 GBP cash for a 2nd hand Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 in 1978. I was the 2nd owner. I kept the vehicle for 35 years Used every day. 6cyl, 4.250cc just after Rolls introduced the 6250cc v8 later the 6,750cc v8 engine for the American Market. I was over the moon regarding my purchase. To pay the money you have for your bike, I did not realise how expensive bikes are,  how times have changed. R

Sorry for your loss. I've had a fair few bikes stolen over the years when living in UK. So frustrating.

It's inevitable really, if folk are desperate then they'll find a way to take it. Same with house breakings, they will find a way in if they need to.

Here in Spain I use a €50 second hand mountain bike, 10 gears,  it looks sch1t, and no one bothers with it.

Before we left the USA, my husband was recuperating from a major surgery and we were living at an "assisted living" facility.  Average age maybe 80???  And...my bike was stolen!  Who would have thought!  Was locked up and they cut the lock and took it.  Just goes to show....it can happen anywhere (and in this case I don't think it was a resident!  Must have been a worker....).  Do not despair and if you have your health you have so much more than many other unfortunate souls.
