A bit complicated. I have Amazon Prime. I  live normally in IRL but will winter in Spain. I saw an item on Amazon Prime.co.uk. I want to deliver it to Spain, but to one of the Amazon hubs in La Zenia. I tried inputting the La Zenia address on my account but it will not accept it. I'm happy to have it delivered to either La Zenia or (I believe) to the one in Quesada. I know I can use Amazon.es, but the item I want is on .co.uk. Anyone know how to  get round this?

I found Amazon deliveries a bit stressy. Tow orders addressed to an Amazon hub locker were retunred to sender stating "unable to delvier". For one item I received a message saying "due to difficultires" it was returned to sender. It is extremely difficult to contact something like customer support, and if you are successfull you get silly answers "the hub locker MIGHT be not operative". Recently  the Amazon messenger would call me asking where to deliver to. I said to him "I am on tour, let me know where I can pick up the shipment" and he would simply hang up. The bottom line: absolutely discouraging.

Amazon.uk will accept an order to a Spanish home address.

When you order from Amazon for delivery to a hub you cannot manually enter the hubs address as a delivery address you have to select it from the drop down boxes.

No drop down box, no hub delivery.

Not all Amazon.es orders can go to the hub, depends on size, contents or seller. Or sometimes the hub is full. There were 3 vans busy filling up Matilde  in Quesada yesterday.

You could try asking at one of the post shops, they’ll probably let you deliver to them for a small fee.

Thanks folks, I tried to change country to Spain (allowed) and then put in the La Zenia hub (not allowed) on the ...co.uk site. Like Killjoy, I don't find Amazon easy if you veer an iota from a bog standard kinda delivery.   Their help isn't great either and I noticed they don't calculate tax due for item coming from outside the EU into the EU.  I had to check this on the  Irish Revenue site (probably similar to Spain in terms of costs).  All this should be done automatically. I won't source this item from the UK now as a result, so business lost to that company and HM revenue.  I will check out deliveries to local stores, don't mind a small fee for this, I hate waiting on Correos or delivery. In my view, the postal system in Spain is the pits.  I posted Xmas cards in Torre post office in November last year and they were eventually delivered in January. I know COVID might have been a factor, but  even b4 COVID I found post hit and miss.

In a similar situation myself, have Amazon UK Prime and live in Ireland.

I signed up for a free month of Prime with amazon.es. Used it during my summer holidays with deliveries going to the lockers at La Zenia Boulevard. You get 3 days to collect your delivery. Otherwise it gets removed and you get refunded. Worked perfectly for me. The lockers are located beside Primark in the corridor to the toilets.

Also just to add, monthly Prime for Spain is cheaper than UK. At €4.99 a month I find that very palatable.

Hi,

can I ass, do you get Prime TV with amazon.es? We have Amazon UK which includes Prime TV but they have again started blocking most content outside of the UK. It's £79 per annum in the UK and without the TV it is not worth it, especially as most products on Amazon can now be found cheaper elsewhere, including delivery.

TBH, I don't know if I can get Prime TV  in Spain as I bought in IRL. I suspect not. I'm on a free month and will not renew. Like you say, I don't find it particularly good  value or very intuitive.

I'm not sure, to be honest I never tried it. I only used it for free Prime deliveries.

Probably worth getting the free month and trying it out. They only thing you have to remember is to cancel your subscription if you don't want it to continue.

Hi Aitch,

Amazon.es prime does come with Prime TV, biased towards Spanish language films/programs but there is also a good selection of English language films etc. It is also quite a bit cheaper than the Amazon.co.uk prime.

Cheers,

Bob

As a by the by, I cancelled my Amazon UK membership, and looked up the item on Amazon.es. It's there, but more expensive and they do deliver to la Zenia hub and others. Prime Spain seems to be around 36 Euro as opposed to 79 STG.
