Hi Irene. Did you find a way to get your qualifications recognised. Can you recommend carers or an agency for me to use for my mum?

no i didnt look into it im afraid as i think the spanish use different qualifications from the uk, i will look about for reputable companies and get back to you👍

Thank you. I read this from the thread. I will be living in the house with my mum and helping with the care when 2 people are needed as well as taking her out everyday.

I am happy to look at cheaper options as needs must. But I will be careful. Thank you for this advice.

A reputable carer would Never agree to handle any money or take responsibility for credit cards that would be your first red flag !!!

First you you will need to be fluent  in Spanish then all you qualifications will need to be verified  by the Spanish health authority followed by the police check.

Having been on this forum previously I contacted angels nursing they have a web site been going over 15 years English owned and carers speak English have just engaged them for my Mum and Dad I believe a guy called Lee is the owner we are in Torre so our nearest office is Montesunis please feel free to contact me further if needs be I have spent ages researching companies good luck  

If you have been here a while you will know how good the Spanish social  services is before you start to spend s lot of your money,check them first they are hard to beat.

They don’t provide for non residents not everyone has something to gain by gaining residencia
