Hi.   Having not been out during the lockdown,my husband has been doing the shopping. It isn't his forte, and we have been doing without basic things at times?  My arthritis is particularly bad having not been out for so long, with no exercise. I don't know why a spouse can't travel in the car,and shop, whilst the driver stays in the car?  We are as protected as we can be,and I would be as brief as possible in the supermarket. This morning,I am so tempted to go with him,but afraid of a fine? We are not irresponsible people, have done every single thing laid down by the lockdown law here in Torrevieja for the last 5 weeks. Any thoughts or advice please. Gracias.

I certainly know the rules are there for a reason, and have respected that reason for almost 6 weeks now,as we started isolating before the official lockdown date. Was a moment of madness earlier with the painful condition getting the better of me. Mucho Dolor unfortunately. Gracias to you.

I will take a look. Gracias. Onwards and upwards!!  Just to say....I gave the 'Mancub' an extremely detailed list, and I still got the wrong items. I rest my case, but will stay housebound for the duration!!!

Hi I do understand your need for exercise , I think we should be able to just take a short walk close to home ,but staying apart . After all if some do not have a car they have to walk to the local shops. Maybe your too far away for this ? I cannot give a definite on this but I met friends, man & wife,  outside a supermarket, who both came in the same car, when I asked them if it was a bit dodgy they said they had asked the police about two in a car & the reply was  "As long as one sits in the rear of the car it is ok" but I suppose it depends which policeman you ask. I should if you can ask a policeman for advice on this .

Hi RayD, I agree with what you say & i abide by these rules, I didn't state facts only what I had been told ,that is why I suggested asking the police , I have to add police seem to have no problem with people walking to the shops here in Gran Alacant ., after all if they have no transport do they have to starve ? Normally they walk with a large backpack or shopping trolly .I pass several when i drive to the shops .

Hi Ray well i was talking about friends i saw going in the car together , but the policeman said they were ok as long as one sat in the back . But others have been told only one in a car ,its not 100% clear ,Yes walking is ok to shops but not together  still the distance apart . So its can be a bit unclear in some areas . Even maybe the police get it wrong . Best as you say stick to what is safer. Stay safe.

I put an email on a Guardia Civils website, but didn't receive an answer?  If a couple who live together go out in one car,and one only visits the supermarket, leaving the other person in the car, it is exactly the same as just one going? Never mind, hopefully won't be too much longer now??? Gracias.

Unfortunately my arthritis is mainly in my feet, and my local shops are a 40 minute walk away for me. Impossible!!  Only a short drive away, and I'd fly in and out of the supermarket, but it's not to be,so never mind. Gracias
