Hello. I'm looking into coming to the Costa Blance on a 4 day property viewing trip with a company called Euro Prestige, based in Torrevieja, there is also an office in Dorset and wondered if anyone had been on one of these property viewing trips or have bought a property through this company, I just wanted to get a few opinions.

Many thanks, Alison

Hi Alison, I have no knowledge of this company but I would say there are many, many properties for sale in Spain through reputable estate agencies and I would be cautious, these viewing trips can be high pressure selling experiences which although they seem attractive at the outset may not offer the best value for money. Please think carefully and given that flights and hotels are reasonably priced at present, it might be worth your contacting some estate agents local to where you wish to buy, experience tells me they will be more than happy to show you around suitable properties and recommend hotels etc for your budget whilst viewing.  As I say there may be nothing wrong with the company you are using but be careful you are not being pressured. wishing you all the best - jeanette

As above. EP are not agents they are property finders.

Get rid of them. Book your own flights,  car and hotel. Do the research on line via rightmove and if your not confident engaging with separate agents. Find an agent not a finder

I agree . I came to Spain recently having contactsd an English agent who met me every day for 4 days from my hotel to show me round properties .  Fortunately , I paid for everything myself so it was easy to say gooodbye and' no thanks ' at the end of three days .    It was a complete waste of time as inspite of giving him a detailed criteria of what I wanted , he only showed me properties that clearly he was gaining the highest commission on. They were the opposite of what I was looking for .   I was about to give up after being told by him that 'those type of properties don't exist here ' and felt very low having spent the time and trouble flying over here with hotel bills etc .  Thankfully , I saw something independently off the Kyero website and got in touch with a different agent who was fantastic .  He drove me to a seaside place which was exactly what I was looking for and the second house he showed me I fell in love with .   if I'd listened to agent no 1 i would  have bought something not suitable out of desperation . good luck and keep your options open !

We used them and purchased a property from them.

Can't fault them they were fantastic, arranged everything for us, including arranging for NIE number.

I wouldn't buy from them. I went on one of their trips and was foolish enough to fall for the hard sell and put down a deposit on a flat.  The minute I got home I realized I had made a mistake. It was too late to stop the payment on the credit card so I phoned the UK number and spoke to the owner himself! Usually, with a reputable firm, there is a 14 day cooling off period. No such thing existed according to the owner. He also told me they had never had a complaint which I cannot believe. I'm sure they have had loads. They do a very hard sell just before you leave in their plus offices in Torrevieja. The 'financial director' or similar comes up and gets you signing before you have even met the lawyer. I thought that my deposit was to ensure that they would find me the property that I wanted. But no, apparently it was a deposit on a specific flat and non-refundable. The sales rep who took me around spent hours driving but showed me very few properties. The ones he showed me were overpriced and not particularly nice. He also didn't seem to have contact with that many local agents - one or two only. IMO the company does not have a good reputation. I went back to the area again under my own steam and contacted local agents who were happy to pick me up at the villa I had hired and show me around. This was a much better experience. No hard sell and I got to see loads of properties that were much better and better value too. I decided just to forfeit the deposit and put it down to experience. I certainly wouldn't have spent any more money in their direction. I asked all the agents that took me around on the second visit about the company and the feedback was as I expected. They do not have a good reputation.

I had a similar experience with Euro Prestige. When I went back again under my own steam I saw loads of properties that were much nicer!

That is not a description of Euro Prestige either of us recognise, we had no hard sell, not asked to put any money up front, only when we had made and had our offer accepted were we asked for a deposit.

They showed us loads of properties in our price range, I only had two niggles first there were no paper details of the properties we saw each day, it would have been nice to go over them over dinner and decide if we wanted to go back and view again, second was the Hotel, the Torre Joven which was cold, we were over in Feb 2014 and breakfasts were awful.

We were taken for lunch and dinner while we were here, and on completion received €1000, towards furniture, it was paid promptly we did not have to chase them.

I agree some properties left me thinking " and you're trying to sell this?" but this is down to the owner not the company selling the property, we just looked beyond all that.

We could not be more pleased with the property we purchased from them.
