Not in Spain at the moment and wondering if anybody know what areas of Torrevieja are flooded at the moment and when the rain is forecast to stop.

We don't live in Torrie, we live near Villamartin have just checked on our friends solarium, which is now a swimming pool, water just not draining away as it has pretty well rained continually since 3am on Friday morning and with the driving winds it's a bit of a mare.
Rain not scheduled to stop until Tuesday, Easter is a complete washout, feel so sorry for families who were hoping for a little Spanish sunshine.

Thanks
Unfortunately we seem to be in the middle of it as a Public Notice says our road is currently closed just off CV-905 as are others around it. Not good news to hear when living in a one story bungalow. Will fly in Monday night & see what’s happened

My estate agent managed to get the police blocking of flooded roads to allow us to view a property on Torreta 3, bad for people living there, but good day for me to visit the newly painted property as I could see the water running down the walls, would not have seen on a dry day, crossed of my list lol

Late reply but we now found out as I’ve been I’ll.. do you know if the Toretta11 area was bad? We have a bungalow there but houses behind it so are praying they gave us some protection. I’m flying over in a week and I’m dreaded opening the door.. there’s only a tiny gap under the door and we have a huge terrace but I’m thinking did it come up the toilet etc... I feel edgy n sick with worry. I hope you didn’t suffer too much damage etc.... x

Water will find a way in but I’m sure you’ll be ok. We wouldn’t be that far from there but visited on that Monday as storm cleared and thankfully had no damage but you could see where water was high on our road. Spanish friends near Habaneras had to wade in water but still nothing got into the their house. I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Hi Pete
We gave keys to someone we teust but he never bothers and he has been in Barcelona for weeks. If he didn’t want to do it we could have given the keys to someone reliable! Im going to het an extra one cut but i will be spending more weeks there now as without getting too personal- things here are terrible..
we know he never checks the place as his birthday card ( Nov) was in the box till we found it again in March!!! We are paying this guy, not much but as we have got to know a few nice people there now, we can feel safer knowing the place will be looked at n checked etc.
Im dreading opening the door..... thanks for the kind advice . That place is my dream for a better and new life to leave my old one behind... thats why Im so worried. Its fot insurance etc.
