That's a reasonable thought. but do you think the tourist industries would be able to survive whilst awaiting a vaccine, which may and a big maybe available by the end of the year.

Great swathes of what the tourists might be coming for would no longer exist perhaps?. I think the idea of a Vaccine certificate in Passports would be an idea Governments may well consider, but where would one stop - a vaccine cert for all kinds of viral diseases or existing health problems detailed and documented before entry into another country - who knows?

In theory a great idea but as the previous poster said unlikely. It will be interesting to see what the Spanish government does on that.

I work in a school and we’re working from home. We support students on-line and make phone calls home to check they’re OK so it’s not quite a holiday.

I would expect rental prices to fall substantially, ruinously even.

Many owners rely on rental income to pay mortgages etc. and wlth effectively no summer season this year, and very likely little demand for Winter lets either, the laws of supply and demand will create massive competion which in turn will depress prises as increasingly desperate owners cut each ot...

Property prices must also fall and there is bound to be a tide of repossesions which will only depress them further.

That said there are always bargain hunters with money to spend so it will be a buyers bonanza with them calling all the shots.

Yes I agree.

There will be a big property depression for

rentals and property values will drop, but the bargain hunters will be a good position.

As with all property anywhere, it does not really matter it’s your home and no intention of moving. It’s when you want to sell on that

it affects you

I only bought my casa this year during the

Pandemic and got it for a bargain price.

It will all come right again, but will take a long time. As it’s a world wide problem and not only one country, we are all in it together.
