Hi everyone, we've just arrived renting an apartment close to the Parque de las Naciones until the end of March. The washing machine in our apartment doesn't work, so we're looking for a laundromat in the area, and haven't come across one in our wanderings so far. Can anyone help, we have a car, so travelling for example to La Siesta for the nearest one isn't a problem.

I would think that as you are renting, it's your Landlords responsibility to sort out the washing machine or buy a new one for the apartment. If you havent already, why not ask them what they can do? When our neighbours were renting, if anything broke down they arranged with the Landlord to get it fixed or buy a new one (if need be) and pay for it out of the next months rental.

Thank you for responding. the landlord lives in London and is seeing what he can do from there to fix it. In the meantime we were just looking for a launderette to keep us going if needed before it's fixed.

Hello. There is a good lavanderia in Calle Maria Parodi, close to junction with Avenida Diego Ramirezi, not far from where your apartment is situated, which I used quite a lot when in a similar position last year. It operates on a service wash basis but is very reasonably priced and the owners are extremely obliging. Almost opposite is the electrical appliance shop Ballester, whose proprietor is very helpful. He delivered, installed and removed the old appliance all included in the purchase price of 250 euros. Highly recommended and very convenient.

Brilliant, thank you so much for taking the time to help. Very much appreciated. Our UK landlord is trying to find someone to fix it, but at least we can now get a wash done in the interim. Thanks again.
