Does anyone know when we will be allowed to drive  10 minutes to Guadamar beach and take a walk on  the sand and maybe have a dip in the sea? The weather is getting very warm now. We long to see the sea again!

We also would like to move to an area where  ex pats live maily permanently. We live in a lovely villa in Quesada but there are hardly any people around. All villas seem to be holiday homes and are empty for months. We would like to be in a community area where we would not feel so isolated in a foreign country.

Have a look at Playa Flamenca and La Florida areas, both have a good few people bars and restaurants open during the winter months quite close to beaches too. Close to La Zenia Boulevard which has a lot of shops and restaurants and people all the time.

Take a look around when travel is allowed.

Best of luck

Beaches being open is still some time off, at present in Phase 3 of the easing of restrictions which at present is due to start on 8th of June.

Communidat Valenciana has requested the beaches to be allowed open according to some local media.

Thank you. We will look around when it's allowed.

Hi Diane,we are currently selling the house here in Torretas and there is a thriving ex-pat community here. We are a 10 minute drive from all the Torrevieja beaches, close to Carrefour and Habaneras C C.The community has a pool and there is a dedicated parking space in front of the house.Message me if it's any interest to you and I'll let you have more details. Steve.

PS the house has 3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms a communal pool and parking space and is part of a gated community. There is a sun terrace off the main bedroom upstairs and a large split level terrace on the ground floor.

Hi Diane

We live in playa flamenca in a lovely gated complex.

We have a ground floor apartment that we have modernised over the last 2 years. The complex has a large pool and a very pretty area for children to play within the complex.

We are 10 min walk to boulevard and 5 minutes in the car to playa flamenca  beach.

Please PM me if you would like me to put you in contact with the estate agent for you to have a look at the property.

Thank you, but we don't want an apartment. x
