Looking for somewhere to stay for a month maybe in November and possibly December.

Looking to meet new friends and get to know more about life there with a view to renting:buying in the future

Hello

Wherever you choose to stay my advice is always the same. Go out & talk to people , out walking,, at the beach, in a bar/cafe/restaurant,  playing a sport,  waiting for buses...everywhere. Dont wait for someone else to start the conversation, just  be polite  and  ask for help, make suggestions. There are many nationalities that speak some English, it just needs someone to start a conversation. It may not always work but nothing to lose.

People on here are often looking for organised groups but they don't always help- or exist

Cheers

Thank you for your  reply and suggestions and although a little shy I realise that to make friends you have to make the effort Colin
