Pure radio do nice internet radio's. I've had a "Pure" internet radio for years and listened to some interesting radio stations dotted around the world, even listened to NYPD radio transmissions at one point!
I recommend Radio Garden app for your phone or tablet. It's a full internet radio service app.

I have a Robert's internet radio which allows me to access any radio station in the world. It also allow me to search for stations all over the world by genre. One of the better purchases I have made.

Hello,
Firstly, any internet radio will do the job, mine just happens to be a Roberts, a very reputable, top end brand. I wanted to make sure that once I got out here it would not give me problems. I am considering buying another one or an independent speaker.
O bought mine at John Lewis but you can get an internet radio on the Roberts site, however they only deliver in the UK. As I said, any quality brand will serve just as well so long as it is internet. It allows you to tune into any station: comedy, religion, debate, politics, music, a choice of up to forty genres, which are then each of these is subdivided into: country, classical, blues, easy listening etc all over the world.
A bit much really. As someone who grew up in Melbourne and has lived in London for the last 30 years my "dial" is only ever on 3AW (night-time radio) or LBC. :-)

Purchase a DAB Radio and some batteries - I got one recently online (Ebay - but the model was Tesco) - Bright red with decent sound quality and it even tells me the singer & name of the track playing - as well as finding various Radio stations - you shouldn't pay more than 30euros - try Carrefour or look out for Aldi or Lidl specials

When I inquired about DAB radios I was told by the dealer in the UK that the radios only play what signals they receive from a transmitter that they are in receiving range of, therefore I would not receive UK channels when I am abroad, if that helps
