NIE application waiting times

hi was wondering if anyone has applied for an NIE recently and wanted to know how long you have to wait for the appointment?

Get your NIE in your own country at a Spanish Embassy. It is much faster than waiting for an appointment at a Policia Nacional Station.

inquired they said it could take 4 to 5 weeks!!!

You would probably have it faster than the 4/5 weeks. Better than the 4 to 5 months in Spain.

Hi we carried out Power of Attorney in Playa Flamenca last Tuesday and the solicitor sent away all our info for our NIE numbers. We received the NIE numbers on Friday from the solicitor by email. Surprised us how quick it was.
