Luxens anti rust metallic paint available from Leroy Merlin. Also Oxiron from the same place but more expensive.

I'd agree with Marcliff except I always use 0xiron.

If you want any advice on paint related matters I always find the staff in Leroy Merlin are very helpful and there is always a english speaker if your spanish is limited.

If  it  possible  to  remove  Grills, some are  just screwed  in, others  are  built  in

I  would  remove  grills  and send  them off  to  be  dipped  In   paints, by  far  a better  finish  and  longer  lasting,  but  a  bit  expensive   but  money  well  spent

Thanks but not possible they are built in the masonry so will have to paint or maybe spray by hand

Thanks for the advice, I may look into the possibility of spraying them. Regards John

Not the best picture but this is the one we used early last year - purchased at Leroy Merlin.

The big thing is to prep the surfaces as well as possible - cleaning the dirt off, sanding down any rusting areas etc.

Not a job I find enjoyable at all but needs to be done periodically!

there are many professional paint shops located around town...Their paint will be superior to any DIY shop...

You get what you pay for; paint especially..

I agree, Hammerite metal paint is well worth the expense.
