Postal "Service"

Dont get me started about lack of post it's not a service it's a shambles. Last year both our new debit and credit cards failed to arrive. I gave up years ago any hope of Birthday or Christmas cards arriving, even though like yourself they were posted weeks before the event.

When we first arrived in Spain in 2015 the post arrived without any problems, but over the years it just got progressively worse until we are in the situation where we go months without receiving any post. I really dont know what the answer is.

I can't say that we have had any type of bad service from Correos. All letters I've expected have been delivered including debit cards etc.

We live in La Siesta and the postie comes round every day without fail about 1 . We've been receiving post from England on time, by that I mean within a week of posting:)

I have lived in torrevieja for 4years and the post is dreadful I tell people now NOT to post anything as it never arrives, sad no christmas cards, mothers day cards or birthday cards now 

Is there a local private post box service based in the area?  I know Correos should be reliable, but if it is not it is far safer to pay a little for a local post box - nothing worse than waiting for an important letter that never comes - especially bank cards.

We live in El Chaparral and we have not had any problems.   Maybe your postman is on holiday.

Perhaps you could start a petition about the postal services in your area and get your neighbours to put complaints in to the post office. 

It seems that it mainly Torrevieja that is having issues.

One summer, in August our mail delivery stopped completely, I went to  a Correos building in Torrevieja(NOT post office) and they went off to check & confirmed....Yes we had had no post, so later that week we got some - not all.

 When our lovely postman Juan Carlos returned, he told me he always has a fishing holiday in Aug, for 2/3 weeks hence the problem lol! Since then I'm never sure anything will arrive in August, if it does, it's less deliveries than normal and normal for me is very good.
