Anyone know the English site to complain to the Banking Ombudsman in Spain? I can only find the Spanish one and my Spanish is not good enough to navigate it.

Ive been waiting 18 months for BBVA to release funds from my deceased Fathers account, I have no details of the account, it was some kind of savings account and there were no details in his personal effects. The Solicitor PSB in Torrevieja  (useless! My Father passed in 2007 and its taken all this time) dealt with it all but now refusing to do anything further as they say they had issues with BBVA themselves. Ive emailed the Bank Manager several times directly but he doesn’t reply. Any ideas gratefully received.

Time works against you. What you need is a valid title from a Spanish notary public showing that you are the legal owner of the inherited funds. Among other things this involves a receipt for the paid inheritance tax. If such declaration was not filed within 6 months after decease be prepared to pay additional fees and late fees. Not easy and you will need to take personal action.  .

You Need a Lawyer to get this mess sorted out. It sounds like it has been locked in the account. It might not be easy to sort it out yourself.
