Renewing a Spanish Drivers Licence
For anyone that needs to renew their Spanish Drivers Licence anytime soon this info might be useful.
The Medical Center at Guardamar del Segura, ( Avenida dels Pins 2) will do the medical, complete all the forms and send them off to Traffico for you, then about 6 weeks later you should get your new licence in the post.
The total cost is €40 plus the cost of the actual licence renewal which is about €24. (If you are 70 years or older you don´t pay the renewal fee) You can pay by cash or card on the day.
You´ll need to take your residents card/TIE, Passport, old Drivers Licence and photo/s. (I´m not sure but you might be able to get your picture taken at the medical center)
The telephone number is 965 728 463 and the staff there speak English. You don´t need an appointment but its best to call them a day or so before you go so they can "get you in the system".
They only do this on TUE 15.30 - 17.30 and THU 18.30 - 20.30
