Are they open ? This clown of a P/M is to open them up here in the UK .from Monday. Virus is hovering at around 6000 + but I think by this time next week it will have doubled due to the brainless idiot.

Hello

Yes in the Valencian region, the schools have remained open, the borders have been closed for weeks so no cross border movement  - that restriction  is currently, still in place.

Cheers

My grandchildren have been attending school all the way through this lockdown and nobody has caught the virus. ( London)

We haven’t been able to go to a hairdressers since Christmas in the U.K.  but hairdressers remained open the whole time in Spain.

In my opinion, it’s time for schools and hairdressers to open. Bars / restaurants could manage if outside. Our children need to be educated... in a school. It’s vital, particularly for youngsters who struggle or are not from privileged backgrounds. Thankfully, we will all be vaccinated by July. I also think schools shouldn’t close for holidays this summer, the children should receive as much teaching as their little minds can take. So many of them have missed so much and they’ll be glad to get back to normality.

Spoke to  people over the week, they all say it is like putting petrol  on a fire sending them back to school. My friends friend nearly died due to his children bringing the virus home from school.

I'm sorry to hear of your friend, i hope they are ok now, from a personal point of view, I've got two kids secondary school age going back monday, and i think it's the right time to go back , they got tested yesterday and all ok, after nearly 3 months at home doing online working, its not the same as being in class and interacting with their friends.. 6k cases is bad, but in comparison of what it used to ? I'll take my chance on sending the kids back

I have a niece who is head of a private school in Barcelona, they are going back to school next Monday, the same as the UK. Children need to be at school, for both education and social contact. The government in the UK have taken this step in consultation with the medical experts, they want to get children back to school s soon as possible, a move supported by the major political parties.

Let's support this move to get back to normal.

Aitch.

Johnson is the biggest idiot I know of. Every thing he has done has gone wrong.  He goes  backwards.  Christmas  get together were ridiculous. It just caused  more deaths

You are entitled to your point of view, however i am sure many disagree for various reasons.
