Hi Nicola, we are pensioners who usually stay in Spain for a month at a time but shortly hope to extend these stays to 3 to 6 mnths. Both on medications(which we bring, but only allowed 1mnth supply at a time) and I have to have regular blood tests for warfarin. As you say sip cards are only for residents can you tell me what do we need to do to get our needs met for longer stays?. I have extended stays but only for an extra month and bought over the counter with no problem but thinking of blood tests as they determine my warfarin dose. Thankyou in advance.

Thanks Nicola, just what I needed to know, knew I would pay for medications, and yes they are cheap, just didnt know what I would need for help with blood tests and whether to register or not at local medical centre or not. Brilliant.

Pauline.

Hi Nicola

Thanks for that, my wife and I plan to retire to Spain is there a qualifying period before you can apply for residency and if so and in the interim period what do you need to do to stay in Spain legally (we already have a property in Torrevieja)

Thanks

Darrel
