Yes the water is "safe" to drink but if you value your health, i would advise against doing so, especially if you have access to filtered and/or bottled water.

The municipal water supplies (and this includes the UK too) are loaded with environmental toxins and other poisons including fluoride and chlorine, as well as pesticides and other lovelies. If you get a water distiller and run a cycle, what is left at the bottom of the chamber is enough to turn your stomach. Ok so it's diluted in a gallon of water but even so.

Personally, filtered and/or bottled water is not only safer, but tastes so much better, and makes the food you use to cook with it or those cups of tea taste better too.

Even if i had my own water well i would filter it as you do not know what that water has come into contact with before it got to you.

Yes, if your dying of thirst then by all means knock yourself out. Otherwise, if you have the option to filter it, then do that as a default is my advice.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Exactly RayD, it is the UK which poisons tap water with chemicals such as fluoride. Spain is a thriving Western European country whereas the UK is slipping into the Third World.

For gods sake, it's just water, drink it or don't, it doesn't matter, but does it really deserve a thread with war & peace in it?

Yes. We all drink it, one way or another. Worth a mention?

exactly..bullshit...just like the dreaded 'corona virus'. And Ebola.Scare stories, designed to make fools part with their money. Notice they never give details of the 'people who have died' ? What is the betting they are very old, or very young and very fragile due to already being ill?

As to those flimsy 'masks' that are 'flying off the shelves..'  what a farce!!!! Anybody with even the slightest amount of experience realises they filter about 25% of the air breathed in...if that.Try spraying paint wearing one....it is all financially sponsored cobblers..IMHO.

We hauled water from the supermarket for years until  we saw sense. The tap water in Torrevieja is perfectly safe but doesn’t taste particularly nice. To solve that we chill the water before we drink it. Tastes fine then.

So Coronavirus is a scam to make us all buy face masks? Well well, who'da thunk it!

You've got to love the conspiracy theorists!

As to water, yes it's safe to drink but personally I wouldn't drink large quantities of it as it is very hard. I use bottled water for my kettle.
