Hello everyone.

Recently went for a look around Torrevieja harbour and the proposed new development taking place.

Seems to me that there's not much progress happening regarding this new development. Seems to be the same state as 6 months ago.

Has the completion date been put back?

I'd be very surprised if it's ready for this coming season as previously reported.

Will the fair ground and the gypsy huts be back once again later this year ?

Would be great if that happens but I have my doubts.

Regards B.

I thought it was clipping along nicely. The Car Park is finished. The Levante walkway is nearly finished. They opened another section yesterday. The bit nearest Keeper bar will be the slowest as they have to wait for final levels. The Cap de Pont tourist office/Policia Local structure is being demolished, if not demolished by now, to open up and include all the area leading into where the Funfair was. I see on the webcam they are well advanced paving the area into the development at Upper level at the Yacht Club side. They have added in extra bits to the development so that causes stop/start with finance and planning and then they came across the old breakwater (?) Which was at a lower level so that bit had to be preserved before the works could resume.
