I have received a letter from DWP asking for information. The response needs to have an official stamp. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and who they went to for the stamp?
Thank you in advance for you replys

This is what is known as a life certificate. Basically it is to confirm that you are still alive and entitled to State pension.
This Extract is taken from Gov.uk and the Web link follows the extract:
"You may get a 'life certificate' form from the Department for Work and Pensions to check you're still eligible for the State Pension. You need to get the form signed by a witness. The instructions are on the form. Your witness does not have to live in the UK or have a passport from any specific country."

My bank signed and stamped a return I sent in a long time ago. It wasn't a proof of life certificate, though.

Police Station or Town Hall take passport and ID with you.

Are you over 80 or under?
I ask because there is some debate as to whether it's only over 80's recieving these letters.

I had one before I was 70. I think this 80 thing is a sweep but these things come out now and again. Obviously they can't send one to everybody drawing a pension and probably just pick some at random but all those reaching 80 have got one.

It's not a stamp they are asking for. They ask for a signature. I got mine from a Policia Nacional.
Cheers, J

It's everyone. And private pensions are starting to do them as well. It's a new legal requirement on pension trustees
