We were so happy to find our new home for my wife, myself, and our three rescue dogs, who are the sweetest in the World. From the very first second that this neighbour arrived back from Germany, ( He is Czeco)he became vocally violent, and is apparently a habitual nuisance, having been denounced 3 times by the previous German owners, once for threatening the wife with a hammer.

I want to get this settled asap, and I have found denuncias never do any good, but a Court case might just stop him.

Can anybody refer me to an Engish speaking Abogado in the San Miguel las Salinas area please? I am 73, with high blood pressure, and very worried about my health. I have lived in Spain for 38 years, and have NIE etc.

Thanks for any advice which will be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. It is vital for both my wife's and my health. This could well end in tragedy if it isn't stopped straight away.

Edit to add: Both my wife and I speak adequate Castellano, but at times like this I apprecate the opportunity to use English to be perfectly clear and 100% understand.

Hiya.

Here is a picture of María Jesus’s business card. She acted for me when I purchased my house in San Miguel. She speaks good English, is not expensive and goes the extra mile. Maria is based very near the church in the centre of San Miguel so quite easy to find her office. I hope you can sort your issue via Maria but should you or your wife feel threatened in anyway, telephone the police immediately.

Thanks! I am incapacitated at the moment, because he caused my dogs to fight, and I was badly bitten on my calf. Luckily, the dogs didn't get hurt! I appreciate very much, your kind and well-informed advice!

One wonders why the previous owner sold the house!

I feel for you both. You have walked into a nightmare situation.

Is the problem about your 3 dogs?

Our neighbour is a sweet natured lady and she is constantly asked to take another dog for various reasons.  At the moment, she has three but she really doesn’t realise  that her dogs go crazy when she goes out in her car. You can hear them scratching the door, barking and whimpering.  We are used to it now but others may find it most annoying.

You probably take your dogs out with you so don’t cause upset but you need to know what the reason is for your neighbours animosity.   Also, you say that one of your dogs bit you....why would your sweet natured dog turn on you? Have you had a tetanus injection?  You have found yourself in a situation which isn’t going to make for peaceful living.  Also, if this man has caused trouble before and been denounced,it is clear that he doesn’t fear or respect the law.  Could you build a decent sized wall around your property?

I wish you well.  It’s quite possible that this lady solicitor is familiar with the history of your neighbour be that a good thing or bad you will soon find out.

Thank you again; your advice was excellent. I have just spoken to Maria, and explained everything, and she has given me the best advice possible. Hopefully, when things get a little more normal, and the Policia nacional are back in business, we can take this forward in the form of denuncia and court case.

I 100% endorse your reccommendation of Maria and her Practice.

hank you for your very kind response, I appreciate it very much!

I have sent the following message to Guardia Civil, and we have an appointment to proceed with a denuncia on Wednesday. Hopefully Maria will attend as well, and of course we will pay for her time!

Ye, we have 3 rescue dogs. they are very nervous because we have moved 3 times before we could actually move into our new home, and they barked when the local Security man delivered mail. He knows the dogs, and they won't deliberately bite or attack anybody, more likely lick them to death!! Not being able to take them for walks since we arrived, you can understand they are a bit upset!

This Man and his family are continually abusive to everybody. They have an autistic son who is never allowed out of the house, but when the shouting began, he came out doing Nazi salutes at us.

QUOTE MESSAGE SENT TO GUARDIA CIVIL THIS MORNING:

We are having a very serious problem with our neighbour. We have just bought our home in Plaza Guadalest. For absolutely no apparent reason, he has been exceptionally abusive verbally, and has been trying to cause us problems. We have done everything we can to be friendly, and he has refused point blank to even attempt to be friendly, or even accept we are the new owners. Last Thursday, our community security guard came to deliver the mail, and typically, our  dogs went to the gate and barked. I stopped them, but unfortunately one got his jaw stuck in our front gate, and was hurt. The other dog thought he was being aggressive towards him, and started to defend himself, resulting in our two dogs having a loud squabble. I went to break them up, and unfortunately was bitten by one of them. However, neither dog was injured at all.Meanwhile, this very abusive man and his wife came onto his terrace, which overlooks ours, and made matters worse by screaming and shouting at them, deliberately trying to escalate the problem.

This is NOT the first act of 'terrorism' he has done. He comes out and spies on us from his terrace. and when I came back from hospital after treatment for my bite wounds, both he and his wife were standing on their front terrace, laughing and pointing.

I have been informed by our Local Security guard, that he is a habitual problem causer, and has been denounced by the previous owners upon several occasions.

This is not going to stop, until some form of official mediation can be carried out. My wife and I have been racially abused by him, telling me to f+ck off back to Brexit Britain, English c+nt. he apparently called the Policia Local to report me for having a car parked outside, which does not belong to me, without ITUEVE. The car belonged to the previous owners, and was left here. With the lockdown, I am unable to dispose of it, especially as it is not registered in my name. I did consult the local Vigilante/Security Guard, and he said he thought he could get the car removed, but not until the lockdown is concluded.

I also have a legal motorhome parked nearby, and again I consulted whether it was acceptable to park it there, and was told yes, but he reported me for that too.

Is there any legal process open to us to put a stop to this vile behaviour? All our other neighbours are friendly, and welcoming, and we have excellent relationships with them all.

Please, when you have an opportunity at this difficult time, can help me get this sorted out finally.

Thank you so much

Nicholas and Elisabeth Cann

I sincerely hope you receive the help you need.
These people seem to me to be bitter, angry, resentful people.
just ignore them totally until your court case comes up but even then, I don’t think you can win.  These are evil, vindictive people...bullies.

Neighbours from hell comes to mind.

Don’t allow them to ruin your lives. Ignore them ,ignore them, ignore them.  Do not reply or acknowledge that they have addressed you if they do.  Pretend they don’t exist.  Blank them completely. After a while they might get sick of abusing you and leave you alone.  Do not allow them to bait you.

Good luck.
