Hi everyone, we're coming out to the area for a viewing trip in a week's time. Considering Villamartin and wondered if there are good cycle paths down to the coastal areas? Also, any good running routes and running groups?

There is a very nice canal path about 800 metres away, but it doesn't go to the coast. In one direction it goes for over 10 miles and ends in the vicinity of Los Montessinos. Used by many runners, walkers and cyclists. Before the end, you can leave the path within a few miles of the Torremendo lake and follow relatively quiet roads to the lake itself, which is well worth cycling around. In the other direction I've only followed it for around 3 miles as the road becomes rough. Sort of ends up parallel with Dehesa de Campoamor.
