Hi All,

I"m a Dutch national just got my SIP card in Torrevieja and from what I understand, I'm eligible to get the Tarjeta Sanitaria Europea too, which covers the same basic health insurance across the EU.

Does anyone know how to obtain this card?

I can only find one link and after logging in, I am able to request the card. However the card is supposed to be sent within 5 days but never arrives...

Also, my address on this portal is incorrect but no matter how many times I try to change it, the one one doesn't get overwritten.

Would anyone know how to go about applying for it?

Many thanks in advance!

The TSE is normally only applicable to those who are working in Spain and paying into the social security system, does that describe you?

If not then you should apply to the country which pays for your health care, presumably in your case Holland.

Yes that describes me. Working here since October.

Hi

I once tried to used a website which offered to notify various authorities about my address - but the address that website held was out of date and it wouldn't allow me to change it. I eventually discovered that I had to update my padron first, at the town hall. Once I'd done that, the new address was reflected on the website and I was then able to notify the various authorities.

So, is your padron correct?

Cheers

Steve

Yup, the padrón is correct and I actually managed to get the address updated on the website too. Could you share the link of the website where you applied for it please?

It was a few years ago, so I'm not sure but I think this is it http://tramites.administracion.gob.es/comunidad/tramites/recurso/servicio-de-comunicacion-del-cambio-de-domicilio/2c0e3f8e-4e27-4c65-a7ba-79295f7a480b

Thanks Steve. Sorry, I meant the website to apply for the ECIH card. Any chance you have that link? Thank you in advance! :)

I've come across a number of official Spanish sites and pages which were out of date and didn't work, they need to be more diligent in keeping their info current!
