My SIP is temporary, how do I get a permanent one?

My husband and I have been resident since February last year and the SIP cards that we were given at our local health centre are laminated paper and expire soon. How do we go about getting permanent SIP cards please?

We are both 59 and have SI forms, as I have an exportable sickness benefit.

We have been given temporary sip cards. We also have the S1 and are not yet retirement age. We were told by the medical centre staff things can always change before you retire! So in other words they think you may get better and not need or be entitled to the S1!! Which is quite worrying. Please let us know if you get anywhere at the social security as when we went they were not very helpful!
