Holidays Rentals

Unfortunately I think you will have difficulty securing any type of rental property without a security deposit  I'm sure you know deposits are to safe guard the rental owner against damage and or breakages. Perhaps I'm wrong and someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

  I  total agree  with depoist,   but they  should be returned  if  Apartment is returned  as  given out,  I  am a 65 year old man and know the meaning  of RESPECT, I  will  be  coming more often in 2023  that  main reason   I  put  up message

Yes, I appreciate that.  I'm a 66 year old man living here but the landlords still expects a deposit and rules are rules unfortunately. However, although I have only moved once, the deposit has been returned promptly. I hope you find what you are looking for.

There are two types of deposit, the one you pay to secure the booking which can be a percentage of the rental or a fixed amount, which you would be forfeited if you then cancelled the holiday.  

The second is a 'key deposit' which is taken as an extra and returned afterwards.  Why would you think holiday let owners would not return a key deposit if you leave the property in good order?

If you book through the bigger websites such as Vrbo or Holidaylettings (or airbnb and booking for that matter) then they handle all the payments rather than the owner, but you will pay extra fees.  Those sites often don't take a key deposit but hold your card details instead in case the owner wishes to put in for a claim, which they would have to detail and prove.
