Hello. First time poster here.

Can anyone tell me if there are sunbeds to hire on Los Locos and Playa Del Cura beaches please? We have stayed several times in apartments overlooking Locos Beach and used the sunbeds on both beaches but I have heard they haven't appeared yet! We arrive in 2 weeks time and I'm a bit worried about the situation. I will struggle to lie down/get up from a beach towel and it won't be a pretty sight!!

TIA

Hello

I have passed both beaches today by bus ---no sunbeds/umbrellas yet!    Same at La Mata beach.

Cheers

Oh dear! Thank you for your quick reply. I wonder why they are not there. We usually visit first week of June and they have always been there then!!

Thanks again.

Well the 15th June has come and gone and no sunbeds and no pedaloes etc. The Lifeguards started on Saturday and I see some of the beach huts are open on La Mata Beach. El in Spain you might keep a lookout for a siting when passing and let us know.

My daughter and grandchildren always use the umbrellas and sunbeds on Playa de Cura. Last year the man that runs them on that beach told them he was planning on retiring.

Whether that's the case I don't know but someone else should surely take over.

You can also download the webcam for Playa De Cura and check on that. The Los Locos one isn't working.

The Ayuntamiento has all the paperwork from those who want to tender for the contract since the end of April. The contract is to be for 3yrs. No decision appears to have been taken , or if it has it hasn't been made public, on who has been awarded the contract.
